“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit”
Matthew 28:19
Baptism in the Church
Jesus was baptized and taught his Apostles to do likewise. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God. We become members of the Body of Christ as we are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission. We can’t wait to welcome your child into the life of Christ and our Church through Baptism.
Baptism Schedule
Baptisms are normally held the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of each month at 1pm in Sts Peter & Paul Church.
You may choose to have your child baptized during one of our Sunday masses - Sat 4pm, Sun 8am or Sun 11:30am. (Sun 10am is not available)
Other dates/times are possible based on the availability of the church and a priest or deacon.

About Godparents
Godparents are a very special part of the sacrament, as they support and bolster the mission of the parents to bring up their child in the faith and to know God. Here are the requirements for godparents:
A child may have a godfather and a godmother, but only one godparent is necessary. It is not permissible to have 2 godfathers or 2 godmothers.
At least one godparent must be a fully initiated Catholic (Baptized, Confirmed, received Eucharist), at least 16 years old, and must be leading a sacramental life in harmony with the church. The godparent should be willing to accept the responsibility of assisting the parents in developing the faith life of the child.
The godparent may not be the father or the mother of the one to be baptized.
A baptized and believing Christian from a separated church or community may act as a Christian witness at the request of the parents, but there must be a Catholic godparent.
