Q:  What is the purpose of your ministry?

The Rosary Altar Society is an active organization in the Sts. Peter and Paul Parish.  All adult women are members and are encouraged to be active members.  We offer many programs to respond to the needs of the women in our parish and the needs of our Catholic Community.  

Through fundraising efforts we help with monetary donations and participate in the following:  RCIA luncheon, Lent by Candlelight, gifts to new parish members, provide desserts for funeral dinners, purchase hosts and wine for Mass, Little Flowers Girl Club, 8th grade and Senior graduation and we support religious vocations.  We also collect food and diapers for the Ottawa Food Pantry and help with the Putnam County Community Thrift store.

Q:  How frequently do you meet?
We hold monthly meetings on Tuesday evenings during September-November and the February-May.  The meetings usually start at 6:30 in the school cafeteria.

Q:  How does someone become involved?
All women of our parish are invited to attend our meetings as we discuss fund raising efforts and how to support other programs within our parish.

Q:  Are you ever in need of volunteers?
Volunteers are always needed and welcome!

Q:  How long has the ministry been serving the parish?
We have been gathering as a women's ministry for many years.

Q:  How do you communicate activities with the parish?
We usually communicate information in the bulletin.
