The youth of the parish are served in many different ways. Of course, Baptism and Sunday Mass get them started. We offer Early Childhood class on Sunday mornings, the Catholic School serves children Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Our Parish School of Religion is for those students attending public school or being homeschooled which is held on Wednesday evenings for grades 1-8 and grades 9-12. Our youth can connect with the broader church through Deanery/County/Diocesan gatherings. CYO sports begin for our students in the 5th grade.
The Youth Leadership Ministry Team is always looking for high school youth to join us and help spread God’s love. Our main purpose is to lead J.U.M.P. (Jesus, Understanding, Mission and Prayer) once a month for junior high youth. During J.U.M.P. we will be having fellowship, games, short teachings, discussion time and ALWAYS lots of treats. As a member of the leadership youth ministry team, you will also have the opportunity to be directly involved with planning trips, attending faith enriching events and activities, service projects and fundraisers. This ministry is not only a way to be a great role model for the younger individuals of our Parish, but also a way to strengthen friendships and bonds with your fellow high school parishioners. It also looks great to have a leadership role in your church for college and work resumes. We will meet monthly, on Wednesday before PSR (5:30-7). Even if you cannot attend on a regular basis, please consider joining us when you can. There will be a schedule available on our web site and in the back of church. For those who are interested in helping with this ministry just come to a meeting, no registration required.
J.U.M.P. stands for Jesus, Understanding, Mission, Prayer.
We hold J.U.M.P. once a month for junior high youth, grades 6-8th and is planned and run by the youth leadership ministry. During J.U.M.P. we will be having fellowship, games, short teachings, discussion time and ALWAYS lots of treats. Please join us for Fun and Faith!!
D.E.E.P. stands for the 4 pillars of our youth ministry: Discipleship, Evangelization, Education and Prayer.
D.E.E.P. on Fire is a vibrant Adoration service that is directed towards the sensibilities of the youth. Our goal is to bring families together in worshipping Jesus in the most Holy Eucharist. We usually follow the Adoration service with food and fellowship. These services will be announced in the bulletin and here on the web site.
We also have a "D.E.E.P. into faith" nights after PSR youth gatherings. These are usually ran by Deacon Jeff and it is a time for the high school youth to ask questions and go a little deeper into their faith.
